At just five years old, Spencer Jones designed an eye-catching road sign to encourage drivers to check their speed and stay aware of their surroundings.

His rainbow snail design was the winning entry in the National Highways competition to create new road signs for public roads, and it’s now proudly displayed along the A483 near Pant, Shropshire.

As a signage supplier for National Highway’s signage, our team of veterans was honoured to manufacture this very special sign, bringing Spencer’s design and message to life.

This project is just one example of our growing partnership with National Highways.

. With their support, we have been able to:

– Manufacture thousands of signs across the UK

– Double the number of veterans working at BBMC since 2022

– Provide more meaningful work and skill development opportunities to veterans and individuals with disabilities, many of whom face barriers to employment.

From Spencer’s colourful reminder to drive safely, to the signs we produce every day, every project is a chance to create employment opportunities for veterans and people with disabilities, and to make a positive impact in communities across the country.

Well done to Spencer and thank you to National Highways for standing alongside us, helping us to have safer roads and create brighter futures.
