Chevron has been a key partner to RBVE for over three years, supporting both our charity and social enterprise to create meaningful opportunities for veterans across the UK. Their visit to SBMC highlights the shared commitment between our organisations to deliver long-term, sustainable change through purposeful collaboration.

Driving Social Impact Through Manufacturing

At the heart of our partnership is a shared focus on creating employment opportunities for veterans through social enterprise. Together, we are expanding our manufacturing capabilities, with plans to significantly increase signage production over the coming year — directly supporting more veterans into meaningful employment, providing skills, stability and a renewed sense of purpose.

This commitment is reflected in Chevron’s long-term vision for the partnership. As Adam Caulfield, President of Ramudden Global and CEO of Chevron Traffic Management, explains:

“Chevron Traffic Management, part of Ramudden Global UK, is committed to its long-term partnership with RBVE to deliver increased social impact and employment opportunities for UK veterans across RBVE’s social enterprise factories in Glasgow and Kent. In practical terms, this will lead to a significant increase in signage work in the coming year, alongside closer collaboration on recruitment and volunteering opportunities between our two organisations.”

Expanding Opportunities for Veterans

Alongside this growth in manufacturing output, the partnership is evolving to strengthen collaboration across recruitment, training and volunteering. By aligning operational needs with social impact goals, both organisations are working together to ensure veterans are supported at every stage of their journey into employment.

This integrated approach not only enhances production capability but also removes barriers to employment, creating accessible pathways for veterans and people with disabilities to build sustainable careers.

A Partnership Looking to the Future

As we look ahead, our partnership with Chevron Traffic Management is set to deepen even further. With ambitious plans to expand social enterprise manufacturing across our facilities, the focus remains clear: increasing social impact, scaling employment opportunities, and delivering tangible support for veterans nationwide.

Melanie Lay, Assistant Director – Commercial at RBVE, said:

“Our partnership with Chevron Traffic Management is a powerful example of how commercial collaboration can drive meaningful social impact. From a manufacturing perspective, this growth is incredibly significant — increasing demand for our signage not only strengthens our social enterprise but directly translates into more employment opportunities for veterans. As we scale production across all of our facilities, we’re able to provide more veterans and people with disabilities with valuable skills, stability and a renewed sense of purpose, while removing barriers to employment. We’re proud to be building a partnership that delivers both operational excellence and lasting social value. It’s been great to welcome the team this week.”
